If you live in the Tucson area, help support a good cause on March 28th at Greek Heritage park!
About Phi Rho and this event:
Phi Sigma Rho is a national sorority with a local chapter at the University of Arizona. The sorority was founded based on connecting like-minded, strong and intellectual women so that they support each other through their education as future engineers. Phi Sigma Rho was founded in 1984 at Purdue University and has grown to over thirty-nine chapters nationwide. The Alpha Kappa chapter is located at the University of Arizona and has been installed for four years and has fifty-two active members.
Each year, our chapter works to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through small fundraisers like percentage nights at local restaurants. This year we will be hosting our second annual Pi Day event. The event will be held in Greek Heritage Park located on the University of Arizona campus from 6:00 pm to midnight on March 28th, 2020. Like other philanthropic events held on campus, we are selling tickets for $3 pre-sale or $5 at the door. We are expecting 300 guests and our goal is to raise $900. With the purchase of the ticket, the patron will receive one slice of pie and entrance into the event which will have cornhole and other fun games. Seventy-five percent of the funds that are raised will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the other twenty-five percent will be returned to the chapter so that the fundraising budget can be restored.
